'Alone' is a short film filmed in the Scottish Borders. I wrote and Directed the short for one of my college course units and the production was really an experiment with audio and images which I was encouraged to make where I have received some positivity from friends and family to create more content. The film is an experimental piece which was shot very quickly without much script preparation beforehand so the process was similar to a 24/48 competition event.<br /><br />The editing began with getting used to AVID for the first time which isn't too difficult to use, once you know what you are doing. <br /><br />The first rough cut of the film was running eight minutes and I began to cut out shots which were slowing down the pace of the film and not telling the audience anything. Shots included a character walking into a door and then a second where one of the door shots was taken out to speed up pace.
